You don’t need to be ‘fit’ or a ‘dancer’ or ‘flexible’ to do Pilates. Pilates may look different on different bodies but that’s okay – it’s designed for everyday people just like you.

It has roots in rehab and injury. Joseph designed his early equipment off of a hospital bed to work with injured WWI soldiers. Once cleared for exercise, Pilates can be a great way to rehab back into shape.┬áIf you have medical conditions that prevent you from doing certain things, we’ll need to discuss your health and see if adding Pilates is safe for you.

Pilates will introduce you to muscles you never knew you had without a lot of stress on your joints. We start where it is appropriate for you. Don’t be intimidated if you haven’t worked out in years and just don’t know where to start. One-on-one guidance helps ensure your safety and comfort on your fitness journey.

Think Pilates is just for the young? Nope! Pilates is wonderful for older adults. It’s a low-impact way to work on strength, balance, stability and flexibility. All the things you need to have to continue to live as healthy as possible.
