Individual instruction
A session with room for questions, close observation, and a pace shaped around your experience.

A clear answer
A private Pilates session is individual instruction with an instructor. At Great Falls Pilates, you can work with founder Ashley Rose or a member of the teaching team. The format allows focused feedback, equipment instruction, and progressions based on your goals.
A private session allows your instructor to spend more time observing how you move and explaining the purpose of an exercise. There is room to revisit a setup, explore a different piece of equipment, or break a movement into smaller parts.
For a beginner, that time can make the equipment less unfamiliar. For an experienced practitioner, it can reveal details that are harder to explore in a group setting. Private instruction can also be useful when you want to discuss a specific movement concern before choosing classes.
Your instructor may use reformer, tower, chair, or other apparatus as appropriate. The equipment serves the session; there is no requirement to use every piece in one visit.

Ashley Rose, PA-C, MPH, combines comprehensive Pilates training with a background as a spine-specialized Physician Assistant. Owner sessions offer that perspective to people seeking individualized, clinically informed movement instruction.
The teaching team is grounded in the classical Pilates system and offers individual sessions as well. Ask the studio about instructor availability and the format best suited to your goals.
If you have a diagnosis, recent surgery, or exercise restrictions, share that context before booking and follow your healthcare provider’s recommendations. A Pilates session is not a medical appointment.

Tell your instructor what feels useful, what remains confusing, and what you would like to work toward. Those conversations help shape a progression that reflects your experience.
Current rates and appointment options are available through the studio. If you are deciding between private instruction and group classes, our comparison guide explains the practical differences.

No. Beginners and experienced practitioners may choose private instruction for different reasons, including equipment orientation, technique, or more individual feedback.
Check the booking system for availability or contact the studio with your preference.
Share your Pilates experience, goals, and any relevant exercise restrictions. Discuss detailed medical history directly with the instructor and your healthcare team as appropriate.
