Pilates is a low-impact form of exercise that is done on a mat and on specialized machines. We are an equipment based studio and you will find reformers and raised mats, towers, chairs, a ladder barrel and pedipull and a host of pilates props.
Pilates is a dynamic and whole body workout that focuses concentration, control, centering, fluidity, precision, and breathing. These are considered the six Pilates principles. Did you know there are over 500 exercises in classical Pilates! Modifications are available for people at any fitness stage making it ideal for everyone.
Pilates will strengthen your core muscles and limbs, give you flexibility without bulk, work on your stamina and stability and help your balance. Pilates includes a mind – body awareness and is a centering practice that incorporates purposeful breath.
